Being more mobile and more alert, Evelyn is also a lot more curious. She gets her hands into everything that she can reach or can get to. If Evelyn’s eyes are focused on an object, she will get there and will grab it, sometimes faster than her daddy and mommy can remove the object to a safer area. Having a young and inquisitively developing mind, Evelyn also likes to reach for new objects. Even though she’s surrounded by her own safe toys, Evelyn is always watching out for newer objects (usually not hers) to grab on and to sink her “teeth” into. That’s why even though daddy and mommy are happy that Evelyn can move around, we are also very weary of her getting into trouble and have to be very vigilant.
Feeding Evelyn is also a success. This is in stark contrast to her older brother Hayden. Hayden did not and still does not like to eat anything; Evelyn, however, enjoys eating almost more than she enjoys her mommy’s milk. Evelyn’s meals have included home-made grapes purée, bananas, apple sauce, and Gerber peas; she loves them so much that her mommy could hardly spoon feed her in time.
In the past few weeks, Evelyn started holding her milk bottles, but now she can safely and securely hold her milk bottles herself.
As of today’s posting, Evelyn has reached 6 months of life.
